and you're right. i've never understood the appeal of this pairing other than the fact that i'm in love with it. just the snarky, snooty way fuma is alwyas pushing poor, adorable little kamui around. x<. and his need to put his tongue on kamui all the damn time. as a canon pairing itself it leave me unsatisfied just because...well the series never finished for one, and we all know it's not possible for anything but angst to come from it, but that's why i love fandom. fanfictions have more than once saved my sanity with these two.

i think also because X/1999 is so dark and angsty that anything other than the strange relationship they have would be weak and pathetic. but i'm really glad they got a bit in Tsubasa. while it far too short for my tastes, their relationship there was much more satisfying
