Dancing the Endless Waltz.

I think I went on and on about how working with pleather in this outfit was a super challenge in the first picture, so now I guess I can talk about the braid.

The wig all by itself weighs a LOT. Mostly because I took a base wig then sewed in a ton of extra wefts to make it thicker and longer. Heh. Anyway! It caused the whole thing to weigh over a pound which is a lot of weight all pulling at the back of your head. Needless to say, the wig wouldn't stay on without a lot of help so I had to additionally sew in several wig clips. After that it was bobby pin city and then the wig was firmly in place.

My main regret is that I didn't gel the damn thing while I was braiding it because of how easily strands came loose. Take all these pictures, for example. We did the shoot at the end of the day (see the setting sun in the background?) and so the braid had mostly come loose. I didn't have the opportunity to fix it before hand because we ended up staying at a hotel that was kinda far from where the con and photos were.

That's okay though because we had an amazing photographer to take such beautiful pictures so... I'll live with some stray hairs XD!

Random: Yes... I'm wearing purple contacts which ended up looking really dark indigo on me. Thank god because indigo contacts are nearly impossible to find.

The stray strands make the wig more realistic

And personally I'd say that a bit less hair towards the bottom would also look more real. The bangs are really great ^^

Now that's one hot god of death. Gotta say kuddos on the braid, I was already complaining about mine pulling my wig back (until I sewed four combs into the cap) but this is quite a set further ^^
