From the beginning the boys had a less than stellar impressions of each other. Rumors spread like wild fire amongst the students of Konoha and it became obvious to both parties that the one person in the entire school they would NOT get along with, was each other.

Avoidance only worked for so long because eventually they were going to have to meet. And meet they did.

Turning the corner to walk along the back side of the school, the boys ran right into each other and short fuses ignited. The exchange of aggressive grumbles was like gasoline fumes fanning the fire and before anyone could reach them, they exploded.

Naruto threw the first, second and third punch but only managed to land one.. and he quickly learned to regret it. The explosion escalated into a national catastrophe that left little in the wake of their skirmish.

Four security personal and three teachers later, the boys were pulled apart but it was clear that the battle was far from over. It was only a matter of days before half the school "accidentally" burnt to the ground and the other half smelt suspiciously like garbage and other rotting substances.

No one could peg it on the boys but the fact that it only affected the class they were in lead the principal to pull them both into her office to think up a suitable punishment.

It was all to easy to just expel them but expelling them wouldn't fix the problem.... on the other hand ....confinement WOULD.

With the slightest smirk twisted upon her painted lips, the principle crossed her arms over her (outragiously) large chest and cleared her throat.

"Starting now, you both will have detention after school with me for two hours a day."

Silence.

"At the same time."

The silence grew thicker.

"For the next four months."

The twining looks of promised death didn't even put a dent in the wicked grin on the Tsunade's lips.
