Alllllright so I decided to finally do the traditional version of Yuri and that... was fun. I love Tales of Vesperia so it was worth it.

I did so much applique work that it's not even funny anymore. All those pieces I cut out and embroider stitched on. Plus there was the challenge of finding that stupid "lavender-white" color which is on his undershirt. It was almost by miracle that I found it too because... wtf color is that anyway? It's really not white, trust me. I did a million different in game references and that is the palest lavender I've ever seen.

The outside bit has all of its design work done in pleather which was....... less fun. Using pleather as an applique is not easy because when you go to do the stitch work on it, the pleather and your machine have an epic battle of doom. I screamed at it a lot. Like... a lot.

I'm not happy with the wig. This is my second Yuri wig and the color is closer but it's not what I was aiming for. The custom dye didn't take as well as I'd hoped so now I'm yearning after this other Arda wig that I want with a passion but I'm not sure that I'm willing to pay all that money for ANOTHER wig. Unless I see both of the old ones.....

Anyone want either of my Yuri wigs? lol

Wow, I didn't even realize it wasn't light but a super pale lavender. o.o! That's an impressive note to detail on your part. X3 I always thought it was just white. I've been learned. lol. And yaaaay Yuri! My first favorite Tales of character :D! You pull him off well. The costume looks very well put together. :3 Wonderful job!
