Soooo Ax was a whirlwind of crazy fun times. It was SUPER awesome to see everyone and I had the best time ever. Seriously... it was epic. And not because the con was cool (the con itself was lame) or because the hotel was good (it awful beyond reason with the staff being as rude as humanly possible) or even because the surrounding accommodations were pleasant (I got sick from the food every time I went out) but because the people were entertaining as hell.

It started out with Naru and I having a very late flight on the ever sweet ride of Virgin Air where I thought we were going to actually die from falling out of the sky (read: severely rough turbulence).



Buuuuuut we eventually landed and met up with who got us to her hotel safely where we all met up with and all those other crazy kids, leaving our wigs to multiply in the corner.




Day One was spent as Tales of Symphonia for and I and that lawlsy good times.
  

I revamped my Zelos wig (read: added more spikes lol) and while I was wandering towards the convention to meet back up with the rest of my group, I ran right into the Tales Of gathering. FUN! Zelos luck what? So I called everyone and told them to come on down and then joined in for funsy sake.

After that I skipped off to the Artist Alley where I ran into...



Girl!Cas. She was perfectly in character too. I loled so hard because it was perfect. Then, right as I was preparing to go, someone tapped me on the shoulder and handed me this...



(The top button, not the bottom one. I only included the bottom one because if the artist is reading this journal I thought she would lawl at where button!Zelos' home is in my Car XD) Saying that the artist wanted me to have it. I was A) rolling with laughter on the inside at how IN GAME that was, B) Totally stunned for a moment with how sweet that was and C) demanding to meet that artist.

So off we went to meet the artist who was... sweet as pie.



And effing amazing.

Not to mention her DA name is blissfully ironic. Totally Fate guys.

Anyway, I do my Zelos thing by embarrassing myself and then fleeing the scene before there is hell to pay for it.

Ran into who I didn't realize was was ~Heart-of-Shou until she had left and then I just wanted to shoot myself in the foot because i had actually wanted to spend time with her but... that so didn't happen. DAMN ME!

But at least I had good times pickin up on all teh ladies.



By the end of it all I changed out of Zelos and into Sasuke to hang with some of my biffles and Co. in the lobby which was crazy good times. I love some of these people with a firey burning passion that Guy sensei would envy.



And that pretty much concluded day 1.

Day two was Shiekh. I regret so much. And only because it. was. SO. HOT.

Full body suits with masks and wigs (AND WRAPS?!) in July heat... in LA... was a stupid idea. Whatever though, my assets rocked it.

And by assets I mean....

Anywho. We had 2 shoots. One during the day for the group and one during the night for a pairing shot which was FULL of lawls because we adore our photographer.



Don't let her terrified look fool you. liked it.

Even got to hang out with some other friends who were there at the start of our shoot. Because every good shoot starts with more than two seconds of awkward eye contact.

At one point I was in the elevator when the doors opened and there was and and they recognized me by my EYEBROWS (how AMAZING IS THAT?!) so one said "Antiquity! These are for you!" and threw a bag to me.



Matching sleepytime Naruto hats. How cute is that?? XDDD So awesome.

More shenanigans happened and that was the end of Day 2.

Day 3 was PURE STUPIDITY with us in Avatar the Last Airbender.



Needless to say, the gathering was us spreading the stupid around.

After the gathering I went back to the Artist Alley and saw once again who informed me that I had apparently run off before she could give me... the rest of the Tales of Symphonia buttons.

  I love them so hard you don't even know. I think she made my convention when she additionally gave me a ZelosxLloyd picture of which I am holding hostage and refusing to share atm.

I'll probably share later. If you ask nicely. But, really, she's amazing.

Anyway, I'm going to sum it up in a story about dinner at Dennys.

who had been awesome enough to hang out with me and mine on and off all weekend can attest to this story.

So our little group of 5 manage to order our food which shows up 40 minutes later (and, okay, fair.. they WERE busy) but the first tip off that something was wrong was that the Apple and Cranberry salad had no apples. The waiter didn't bother to tell us, just gave it to us and waited to see if we noticed and when she was questioned about it, half heartedly told us they ran out of apples. Lol awesome.

Then I looked at my food.

It was a Chicken Parmesan looking worse for wear but the best part was.... the perfect square of white which I belatedly realized was my cheese. I, hoping for the best, took a bite and discovered it was cold then turned to the group and said, "I could ask them to take it back but they'll probably just throw it in the microwave."

Nevertheless my every encouraging friends helped me flag down the manager because our waiter blew us off repeatedly. So I said to the manager, "My cheese is not melted and kind of gross when it's cold."  

To which she immediately responded with, "Well, the cheese here is always kind of gross and we could throw it in the microwave but there is no guarantee it's going to melt."

Imagine my look of horror at the thought of what kind of cheese doesn't melt in the damn microwave. All the same, I burst into laughter at her candid statement and brazen nature so much so that I actually started to cry on the spot. She comped my drink because I'm pretty sure the staff thought I was crying over the food and alarming the other customers.

I said, "Oh god..  I'm TEAR BENDING. Make it stop!" Of course, this made the whole table laugh harder which just made me cry harder and...ready for the cake topper?

I, no joke, saw at least two other cameras from across the restaurant come out and start snapping photos.

After that I went to leave and saw cosplaying as...



So OF COURSE I have to stop and talk to her. Truth be told, I saw her every day before this one but since she was sitting at the table in front of mine, I figured I might as well stop and say hello. She's a very nice girl and her Cas costume made me giggle XD

My crew and I closed the day by hitting the rave and dancing like there was no tomorrow. Good times

End Day 3.

The last day was also ten kinds of stupid but of a Kingdom Hearts flavor. Mostly for me and who happened to bring Xigbar when I brought Roxas (by pure happenstance guys). AND IT WAS AWESOME!!! Xalden joined us at one point and the derp got even worse. If I find pictures out there on the interwebs, you all will be the first to know lol.

Randomly, I found a long lost friend whom I adore endlessly (her name is Demako and she's cuter than cute can be) which... made the whole convention worth it.



And ran into me to give me one of the most amazing pieces of art of me and *supernovadobe I've ever received.



I apologize that this picture does it no justice. She has more photos on her gal so you can also check out the rest of her work there but, honestly, it's breath taking in person.

The con closed with going out to eat with friends (the food was worse than Denny's but the company was just as good) and then the long trek home.
