Because I posted this on myspace while I was bored one day, I figured I'd post it here too for the hell of it. Sorry for the lack of updates guys.. my life just kind of went to hell for a while. I'll be back in full posting swing later.
So we've decided that our house is haunted.
I know that's a pretty bold statement but.. it really has just come to a point where we can't deny it anymore. And believe me, we've been in denial for YEARS.
The hulk of it started off with just glimpses of things that weren't there. One of the older stories comes from Naru who was in her room (soon to be our room) talking on the phone when she glanced around and saw something in the corner. It looked like a little girl kneeling down watching her and when she did a double take, there was nothing there. Not a minute after that, the cat (Nala) suddenly got up and shot out of the room for no apparent reason. Now, this is a very old cat and she doesn't spontaneously shoot about for no good reason so that was a little surprising.
After that, random things would happen. Shadows moving out of the corner of your eyes, random creaking of the floor boards late at night, clicks and shuffles in the main bedroom, everyone in the house having nightmares on the same night.. random stuff.
Several months later, after Sakura had moved in, Sakura woke up out of a dead sleep to feel a set of nails scrapping along her side and she assumed it was her boyfriend (Billy) because he has long nails. However, after she woke up a little more she realized that Billy was rolled in the opposite direction facing the wall and it would have been impossible for him to scratch her as the side being scratched was facing the open room and not Billy. The next morning she still had scratches all along her side/back.
Everyone in the household (at that point) had developed a paranoia of the downstairs because of the feeling of animosity you got when you would sit in the living room towards our sliding glass door. The same feeling happened in Sakura's room towards her sliding glass door which is right above the living room sliding glass door. Essentially the feeling moved up and down between the floor of the same spot. The exact feelings went on between the downstairs bathroom and our closet which were also right above and bellow each other respectively. It progressed to the point that every time you went up the stairs you felt like you were being chased and the urgency to run was pretty bad.
One of our friends had a phone that developed a problem where you could hear an old man on the other line whenever you called Naru or I's phone. Sometimes he would breathe on the phone, sometimes he would laugh, sometimes he would mumble something and sometimes you could clearly hear him say "Get Off". Mind you, this was only happening when she called our phones and you could only hear it on her end but it happened at all hours of the day and night no matter where any of us where when either part called. Eventually she moved in to our house and the problem got worse.
After a while, it was too unnerving to be anywhere by yourself in the house so we called in some friends to help us cleanse the house. We burned a LOT of sage and cleansed the house to the best of our abilities and it seemed to work. All the clicking noises and the creaking and the shadows and everything just stopped.
The house was very quiet and comfortable again for several months. No feeling of dread or paranoia or fear of any kind. Then, about a month and a half ago, everyone started seeing a shadow again and a very VERY hostile feeling came into the house. It was in the downstairs again and all you could feel was.. aggression. Like something wanted to hurt you when you were in the room or on the stairs.
One night around two in the morning, Sakura was getting ready for bed and went down stairs to get a drink of water when she looked into the living room to see if anyone was there. No one was there but the cat (Nala) sitting in the middle of the living room looking towards the slidding glass door (the far left corner). Sakura approached the cat and called her name and the cat made no response. Mind you, this is a cat who comes to her name and always looks up when you call her. Sakura continued this calling until she was right next to the cat who was still ignoring her until Sakura reached out and grabbed her. The cat jumped about a half foot into the air then bolted for the stairs like her life depended on it. After the cat left, Sakura looked back to where the cat had been looking and saw a shadow dissapear into the far left wall.
Again, we called some friends and did the whole cleansing thing over again. The house felt fine again for about two weeks, and then it got worse.
It started off with me seeing random shadows walk past the upstairs bathroom door. Left (where my room is) to right (where Sakura's room and the entrance to the stairs is). At this point, I pretty much ignored it and chalked it up to my imagination, even though I had seen the same thing twice in the same week.
The following week I woke up after my wife had gone to work and stayed in the room with the door closed for most of the day. Later in the afternoon I could hear someone get up and start walking down the hallway outside of the bathroom because the floorboards creaked loudly in the exact same way that someone waiting for the upstairs bathroom sounds. I figured it was Billy or Sakura and went back to work. My wife called me and asked me how I was doing all alone in the house and I said that I wasn't alone because I heard Sakura or Billy about an hour ago going to the bathroom. That was when Naru informed me that no one was home because Billy went home yesterday when Sakura went to her Dad's house for the weekend. She asked me if it was Kimi or the cat and I told her that I had been txting Kimi while she was at work all day and the cat was sleeping next to me the whole time so there was no one there to make that noise.
We were a little weirded out by it but ignored it. The next day we were in the shower talking about it when suddenly the towels that we always swing half way over the edge of the shower door were yanked off the edge to the floor outside the shower at the same time. I was unnerved and that's when we heard the footsteps. She turned to me with a weird look and said "Did you hear that?" and that's when Nala suddenly started hissing. I yanked open the shower door but no one was there except the cat in the corner.
Two days after that Kimi, Naru and I were downstairs while Sakura was upstairs cleaning the upstairs bathroom. The three of us started laughing at something we were watching when Sakura suddenly bolted down the stairs and looked at us weirdly only to say "Wait.. all three of you are down here?" We all blinked up at her and I said "Yeah." to which she responded, "Did anyone come upstairs a minute ago?" And Naru replied "No. We've all been down here since you left. No one went upstairs. Why?" Sakura just looked disturbed and said "I just saw Kimi walk past the bathroom door from your room to our room."
The next day Kimi was in the bathroom doing her hair in the morning when saw Naru wander past the bathroom door then turn and head down the stairs. It didn't occur to her that this was particularly strange until she realized that Naru was at work and HAD been at work for several hours. Mind you, this is interesting because everyone in the house has matching stripped white and colored shirts. Naru's is Orange and white, Kimi's is red and white, Sakura's is pink and white and mine is Blue and white. Kimi saw "Naru" in the matching shirt she was wearing. When Sakura saw "Kimi" she was wearing the matching shirt as well. Both have short blond hair and are around the same height.
That weekend our friend Temari and Gaara came over to hang out with us. Tema went up for a shower while the rest of us watched movies downstairs. She later came down and asked us if anyone needed the bathroom now and we said no. She said "Really? Then who opened and closed the bathroom door three times while I was in the shower?" To which we could only respond with "No one went up stairs the entire time you were in the shower."
The next morning Tema was on the phone outside of our house trying to get ahold of her friend. His cell phone picked up and a weird voice said "Fuck Off." then hung up. She tried calling again because her friend wasn't the type to do that at all and it surprised her a lot. When she eventually got ahold of him he told her that was impossible because he was in exams all morning and his phone had been turned off in his pocket the entire time.
After that, little things here and there kept happening. The desk connected to our loft bed will randomly vibrate but the bed and the shelf just above it will not. Occasionally the desk will get violently shoved and the monitors will shake but the bed doesnt seem to move and neither does the shelf. Whenever we try to replicate this, we just cant. The shelf will always move first because it is the most delicately balanced thing so.. We have no idea how the desk is moving without bothering the shelf or the bed. Beyond that, nothing huge.
Then, just a couple of days ago I was in my room with the door closed and I heard someone walk up to it and knock once. I said "Hello?" but no one responded so I ignored it. Apparently no one had knocked on my door that morning and the same thing happened to Kimi when no one else was home.
And then yesterday I was reading in Sakura's room by myself for a good hour with no one home. I got up to use the restroom and as soon as I closed the door to the bathroom, the bedroom door suddenly slams shut. I open the bathroom door again and look around to see if anyone had come home but, no, no one had come home. So I go back into the bathroom and while I'm in there, both my door and Sakura's door start opening and slamming shut. This happens at least 4 times before I walk out of the bathroom and it all just stops and doesn't happen again for the rest of the night.
It's just gotten to the point that we're pretty convinced the house is haunted and we've left it at that. Mind you, the "house" I live in is a townhouse constructed in the 80's/90's where Naru has lived for the past 4 years. The previous occupants were a very average man, wife and child so where all this comes from is beyond me. My best guess? Uh.. there is a very old original totem poll three blocks from my house? We haven't had the opportunity to do any real investigating (the equipment is pretty pricey and we're all a little broke) but we're not sure that we need to even if we want to. Any thoughts on it?

If you try to "help it" or find out what it is or get rid of it, there are usually repercussions.
HELPING IT: Normally if you try to help find out why its there, it will latch onto you until you can help resolve its problem and even sometimes will start to torment you more if you dont find out quickly (so if its a problem you cant fix you're kinda SOL).
FIND OUT WHAT IT IS: If you try to find out what it is by recording or video taping it, for whatever reason, things only get worse. (though it wasnt based on a true story, paranormal activity is a good example of what happens most times but not as extreme).
GETTING RID OF IT: If you try to get rid of it, as you guys have already experienced, it will only make it angry. Dont use oiji boards or write messages to it because again it will just get worse.
I've gone through hell and back with different types of these things. Its not fun. Most times I would say pets work, but somethings are beyond pets. Mirror charms only work on the weak ones and your case sounds like its more than just some small fry. Your case doesnt sound too bad because it hasnt tried to actually harm you guys yet. Sounds like the cat is helping you guys. I would suggest either another pet or what I said in the beginning. Though having "the talk" with it will work most times and is cheaper.
Also, I would make a journal of the times and days things happen. You might start to see a pattern...
Another thing if leave something, maybe a shoe, in the middle of the room. Inform your friends to not enter the room and leave for a while. Come back when you feel it is right to enter the room again and see if the shoe, or any object you chose, has moved. If it has, ask your friends if they entered the room. If they haven't, then you know a spirit it trying to contact you by grabbing your attention. (They wouldn't move it for fun. They tend to move objects to be acknowledged.)
If they harm you, keep a rosary or some sort of religious symbol with you. Most of the time, spirits or ghosts tend to avoid religious symbols out of fear of not being able to harm you, or do anything harmful towards someone else.
The best thing I can say is, research ways to protect yourself, or try to reason with the ghost/spirit/demon/dead being, and try to stay safe.
I've had my share of experiences, so if you need advice, I'm here~
is it still continuing?
I hate ghosts and there is one in my bathroom T^T everytime you walk in there, it like the atmosphere gets tense and like there's someone watching you, it's not imaginary stuff, cause all my friends that have used that bathroom has got scared of it, especially since you sometimes can hear steps on the roof (creaking, like you described in your journal). And both me and my sister has heard breaths in our ears when we're going to sleep at night >___<
I hope you'll get rid of the ghost. Maybe you should make a circle of salt around your house? Or put some garlic in your room?
i think that spirits are atracted to you or an other member of the house or maybe even all of you...
cleansing the house often makes the spirtis angry if they are bad spirits
don't do seances (sp?) or use ouji boards, those open portals to the other world or worlds and ofter leave you with far worse things then an angry spirit
keep the cat in the room with you because spirits really don't like cats and also you will know if the spirit or whatever it is is close to you by the cats reaction.
you should probably get a priest to bless the house. *this is coming from a not so religous person* but research towards who you have blessing the house because depending on who it is and the way they do things could also make it worse
Burning insence/candles *be cautious of smell and color, perhaps research it* and speaking with the spirits also helps while doing so
the mirror thing i would look into a little more and if you want to try it. and if you do break the mirror leave it seven hours before you clean it up if you are superstious, then take the pieces and despose of them in a place away from your house.
becareful with how you rid the house of the spirit because when they get violent their power gets stronger and can really injure you or the other in the house
it must be annoying and a bit scary having that happen sasu. hope that it gets better for you. i'm a person that spirits get atracked to easily so i kinda see where your coming from.

I wanna come stay with you guys. I've always wanted to experience something like that, as weird as that may sound.
